SQL is a database computer language that helps in analysing, managing, querying and manipulating data.

Avoca’s NHS specific SQL Training courses were created by NHS Data Analysts. With experience of NHS information flow, they have designed a set of courses that simulates real NHS data scenarios.

NEW!!
The NHS SQL Training course has recently won accreditation from the UKCHIP Education Quality Assurance Scheme. This accreditation is only provided to courses that are relevant to healthcare and meet stringent guidelines from UKCHIP in terms of quality. This course can now be found on the UKCHIP Register of Accredited Learning.

No previous SQL knowledge required
Our NHS SQL Foundation Course - designed to take people who have no or little data analysis skills to become competent data analysts. If you have some SQL experience, you can start the course at a more suitable point for you.

Don’t just learn SQL, practice SQL
The teaching covers SQL theory which is covered within interactive presentations. Delegates can then put this theory into practice by completing specially designed workshops. These workshops are overseen by our experienced tutors who will ensure that theory which has not been understood is further explained.

Develop your NHS Career
Working in a data orientated role within the NHS may require a proficiency in SQL. SQL is the most common database computer language amongst NHS Reporting systems and many trusts are moving away from MS Access, to SQL. If you want to better understand the fundamentals of how data is held, processed and queried, one of our courses may just be what you are looking for.
