University Partnership

Avoca are specialists within the field of Health Informatics, with experienced health professionals that have worked in a variety of NHS organisations across the country. We have a Health Informatics course that has been accredited as 80 credits of learning at level 5 of the Framework for Higher Education Qualifications (FHEQ).   This can be used by participants to receive recognition and formal credit towards other further education awards through the Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) process.

Avoca have an existing partnership with the University of Wolverhampton, who have a successful track record of employer-based partnership training. Both parties are committed to supporting lifelong learning: we give individuals the opportunity to achieve recognition for their achievements in a range of settings, particularly those relevant to the workplace. Accreditation of the Avoca Higher Diploma in Health Informatics is the first achievement in a continued programme, developing high-quality, specialist training as part of the Framework for Higher Education Qualifications (FHEQ).

Avoca Systems education programmes will sit alongside existing higher education provision, providing a clear pathway for individuals to continue with their learning and achieve recognition. We deliver a unique blend of practical health informatics skills, combined with theory about the NHS setting, which is particularly relevant to the work place setting. If you are a university or college that has level 5 courses that closely align with Avoca’s Higher Diploma in Health Informatics, then contact us to discuss further opportunities to provide collaborative flexible learning pathways that are particularly relevant to the workplace setting.
