Avoca support UKCHIP
As an organisation focusing on developing
the Health Informatics skills of
its staff, Avoca is proud to say that it encourages its
employees to register with UKCHIP. UKCHIP has been
established to promote professionalism in Health Informatics,
and does this by assessing registrants against clearly
defined standards of competence. Those that register agree to
work to a common code of conduct and also to commit to
Continuing Professional Development throughout the course of
the registration year.
Avoca feel that by registering their staff with UKCHIP this
provides a ‘kite mark’ for customers that our staff meet
these defined standards of professionalism, and acts as a
guarantee to the quality they can expect.
To underline our support for UKCHIP, Avoca were present at
the UKCHIP stall at HC2011. This was advantageous to both
parties as Avoca helped to raise awareness that registration
is open to all Health Informatics professionals and not
purely NHS personnel, and UKCHIP were able to meet and
discuss their extensive Health Informatics skills with the
Avoca staff present.
