SQL course wins high praise from NHS
Avoca have tailor-made a SQL Programming & Database Administration Training course for NHS Rotherham. The training course covered four modules in order to meet NHS Rotherham’s requisites. The tailor-made modules include:
• Basic Structured Query Language; how to
return data using filters and restrictions and how to analyse
your results
• Entity modelling; theory of how
different entities within a relational database relate to
each other and how this can be shown in a structured
methodology
• Joining
tables; putting theory into practice by learning how to write
SQL to join tables together within a relational database and
why different joins produce different results
• Transforming data into information;
learning how to write SQL to transform raw data into useful
information, by using Aggregate and Date Functions
"I loved the training!
I explained what we’d covered to my colleague David, who is
our resident SQL expert, and he seemed very impressed with
the training. I think other members of the team have
attended SQL courses, but they had been more theory based,
so it was a bit of a waste of time." Katy Scott, Public
Health Information Analyst, Directorate of Intelligence &
Performance.
