Avoca have been selected to work with Perot Systems and BT to provide data migration services in the NPfIT implementations of RIO and Cerner Millennium within London. Avoca will provide a variety of roles, including application specialists, data consultants and health informatics leads.
Tasks for the different roles included:

Application Specialist will work with trust staff, to configure the new Patient Administration Systems, demonstrate the application to information, administration and clinical staff, in a way which is relevant to their particular service/department.

Data consultants will provide deliverables in the migration process in Oracle, creation of Oracle extraction routines and producing documentation to allow a repeatable and maintainable system.

Health Informatics Leads will manage the work streams of data migration and reporting. This will involve project planning, producing weekly status reports and impact assessments. The role will also require close interaction with the client and issue list management to ensure of a smooth deployment.
