Cerner Informatics

No data management company has more experience with the Cerner Millennium product than Avoca. As the data migration partner for Fujitsu and BT we helped them implement the system at complex acute organisations (see below). The challenge of migrating business and patient critical data to Millennium should not be undertaken lightly. The cleaning and transforming required to make legacy PAS data compliant with Millennium can be very complex and if not managed properly will lead to many unplanned trial loads, multiple slipped go live dates, and additional cost.

Aligned to this challenge is the massive disruption and re-design of reporting methods. Avoca, as either the data migration supplier for the project or providing consultancy support, have experience in providing solutions to the reporting problems and supporting the re-design.

The sections below show our experience of projects moving to the Cerner system and Cerner report validation. From this experience, combined with our extensive healthcare knowledge, Avoca are very well placed to support any ICT project involving Cerner Millennium:

Report Validation
A key challenge in Cerner projects has been ensuring the continuity of business reporting. Avoca have hands on experience and know the importance of accurate validation of your reports. We work with you and Cerner members of staff to identify and resolve issues, analysing and testing data and writing bespoke reports.

Mark gives some reporting tips.

Our experience of Cerner report validation includes:
